Phanerozoic Volcanism of Southwest Uganda: A Case for Regional K and Lile Enrichment of the Lithosphhe ancient fold belts surrounding the nucleus (King 1970). The Southwest Ugandan volcanics are associated with rifted domes which lie on the west side of the East African Plateau and follow the fold belts of the Kibaran (ca. 1300 Ma) and possibly Kibalean (ca. 2500 Ma) ages.
