In Vitro Growth and Differentiation of Rat B Cell Subpopulationsbe brought to cap formation in about one half of the B cell population, while sIgD could not be found in caps to a considerable amount and disappeared rapidly from the cell surface, presumably by endocytosis. In the present study we have tried to separate both subsets to study their responsiveness to B cell mitogens in vitro.

Evidence for the Existence of Two Distinct Types of Peyer’s Patches in Sheepime. In 1928 Carlens published an account of the PP in domestic animals which included their distribution, ontogeny and age-related changes. We have recently reexamined these topics in the sheep and confirmed Carlens’ observations which showed that sheep PP have a number of important features (Reynolds and Morris, 1983).
