Finally, we consider the point reflection group as it captures well the transition from Riemann’s infinite Tonnetz to the finite Tonnetz of neo-Riemannian theory.

Exploring the Syntonic Side of Major-Minor Tonalitytween the triadic modes and the pseudo-classical modes. The syntonic projection looks unfamiliar at first sight, but closer inspection shows that these modes provide a common ground for the natural, harmonic, and melodic manifestations of both the Major and the Minor modes.

Groupoids and Wreath Products of Musical Transformations: A Categorical Approach from poly-Klumpenhon ordinary sets of musical objects. We show how groupoids of musical transformations can be constructed, and provide an application of their use in post-tonal music analysis with Berg’s .. In a second part, we show how these groupoids are linked to wreath products through the notion of groupoid bisections.
