The Large-Scale Structure of Atomic Hydrogen,. The Parkes 18m and Hat Creek 26m surveys have been used to study the distribution of HI in the outer Galaxy based on a circular rotation model. The surface density distribution is discussed, and also the warping and the thickness of the HI layer. The total mass of HI in the Galaxy is found to be 4.8 × 10. M..

Local Galactic Structure and Velocity Field,The information contained in the local stellar velocity field is discussed.
