The UV Opacity of High-Redshift Galaxies galaxies we show that . no more than 4% of the continuum UV flux can escape (3. limit) from each galaxy. This result is compatible with observations of low-z galaxies, but is in contradiction with some recent results based on spectroscopy of . ≈ 3 galaxies.

AXIS: An XMM-Newton International Surveypril 2000 to April 2002, after which a large number of XMM-Newton target fields have been imaged and ~ 400 X-ray sources have been identified. In this paper we present a few highlights of the AXIS science results (whose full exploitation is still on-going) both at high galactic latitudes and in the Galactic plane.

Cosmology with Galaxy Clusters through the Sunyaev-Zel’dovich Effect small subsample of the cluster catalogue. We also show how it is possible to get an accurate estimate of the cluster flux using a non-parametric component separation algorithm, and how using morphological redshifts it is possible to make a high-z preselection of the small subsample to be observed in the optical.
