The Absorption of Heavy Metals by the Growing Organism; Experimental Experience with Animals, is different from that in adults. For this purpose I shall present some data from our laboratory obtained on rats and data obtained by other authors for a variety of animals species. On the basis of these results some conclusions are made.

Recent Animal Studies with Regard to Cadmium Toxicity,From literature a number of recent animal studies have been reviewed, without attempting to be comprehensive. The following main subjects have been selected:

Clinical Manifestations and Dose Dependency of Acute and Chronic Methylmercury Intoxication,Methylmercury (MeHg) is a potent neurotoxin which is easily absorbed from food. In the adult human gastro-intestinal absorption of methyl-mercury is practically complete. The distribution between red cell to plasma is approximately 10. The biological half time is approximately 70 days [1].
