Solubility and Adsorption Effects in Polymer HPLC,nates. Information on the mechanismus of a given polymer separation can be derived (i) from the dependence of retention time on sample size, (ii) by comparison between solubility and elution characteristics, (iii) from a closer inspection of the chromatographic system that affects separation, and (iv) from the effect of temperature on retention.
