The Low-Temperature , X-Ray Absorption Spectra of Fe, Fe,O,, and Fe,O,erature dependence in the fine structure of the iron spectra, but none was observed for the oxides. These results are compared with the Kronig theory for extended fine structure, and the possibility that thermal vibrations are responsible in part for the temperature dependence is proposed.
