Tikhonov-Phillips Regularization of the Radon Transform,ly computed. This allows for studying the influence of the regularization norm. Even more important is the effect of the regularization parameter which can now be studied explicitly, and optimally selected dependent on data noise and additional information on the searched-for function.

Two Methods for Solving the Inverse Scattering Problem for Time-Harmonic Acoustic Waves,H [7] (see also [2]). Our second method avoids the use of integral equations ad is based on the theory of Hergoltz wave functions (c.f. [6]). Numerical experiments using this method are presently being carried out, but as yet we have no results to report. Hence, the practicality of our second method

Constrained Approximation Techniques for Solving Integral Equations,tions n needs to be increased to an excessively large value. Also many real problems prescribe conditions on the underlying function, thus constraints on the approximation are introduced. Both these problems can be overcome if instead of interpolating we consider the approximation problem.

Bindegewebe bei normaler Funktion convergence of order p + 3. This possibility arises because of the oscillating error in the collocation solution. The relevance of superconvergence techniques to a third order Runge-Kutta method is also discussed.
