The Two-dimensional Burgers Equationst ideal as well as the degrees of its generators. Finally, as an application of the presented method, we exhibit and analyze a (Monte Carlo) probabilistic algorithm to compute the degree of an equidimensional ideal.

In particular, tropical geometry is a natural framework for model reduction and for the study of metastability and itinerancy phenomena in complex biochemical networks.

,Enhancements to Lazard’s Method for Cylindrical Algebraic Decomposition,ch, however, fails for input sets that are not “well-oriented”. The present work improves Lazard’s method so that it is as efficient for well-oriented input as Brown’s method, while retaining its infallibility. Justifying these improvements requires novel and non-trivial mathematics.
