Effect of 2,5-Norbornadiene on the Ripening and the Production of Ethylene in Tomato Fruitsent simultaneousley raises the level of ACC and the accumulation of MACC. ACC synthase is also inhibited by NBD at any stage of ripening. Therefore, the production of ethylene in NBD treated tomato fruits reflects the combination of all these effects of NBD.

Ethylene and Auxin-Ethylene Interaction in Adventitious Root Formation in Mung Bean Cuttingsting process. Aminoethoxyvinylglycine significantly inhibited rooting but its inhibitory effect could not be reversed by ACC. The data suggest that the stimulating effect of IBA on rooting is closely associated with its induction of ethylene biosynthesis.

The purified EIF contained no detectable cellulase, polygalacturonase, protease or other hydrolytic activities as estimated by using p-nitrophenyl derivatives of several sugars as substrates. Based on these data, we suggest that EIF contains a specific xylanase activity which is involved in inducing ethylene biosynthesis.

Jugendkulturelle Lebensmilieus, malonylation. The hormones effects were found both on endogenous and on ACC-dependent ethylene production. Further investigation of the stimulatory effect of ABA on EFE activity revealed that it is CO.-mediated. The significance of these hormonal effects on ethylene production will be discussed.
