https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-540-89682-1inearities due to phase space filling, plasma screening and dephasing are consistently included on a microscopic level. Results for the influence of inhomogeneous exciton broadening on the plasma saturation of normal-mode coupling as well as pulse propagation effects are presented.

New devices such as silicon based capacitors or photonic bandgap materials for the infrared spectral range are fabricated based on this new technology.
