Numerical Simulation of Vortex Flows,st in two classes : the methods which are based on divergence free approximations of the vorticity fields, and those which use a correction procedure in order to satisfy this constraint. For both classes, the respective advantages of Eulerian grid methods and lagrangian methods are briefly discussed.

Visualizations of Stretched Vortices,ting discs with a suction through a hole in the center of each disc. These vortices model the filaments of vorticity of turbulent flow. Visualizations are presented which show the structure and the instabilities of these stretched vortices.
