Pattern Evoked Potential Latency and Contrast Sensitivity in Glaucoma and Ocular Hypertension P. latency for the glaucomatous eyes was significantly longer than the P. latency for the normals and ocular hypertensives. Further, there was no significant difference in mean P. latency between the normals and ocular hypertensives.

Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) Methods of Detecting Misrouted Optic ProjectionsEPs to disappearance or pattern reversal stimuli. Acuity and nystagmus seem to be the two variables most indicative of poor pattern reversal responses. Appearance/disappearance (onset/offset) pattern stimuli are more versatile for detection of abnormalities in the visual system than pattern reversal stimuli.

Comparison of Visual Field Examination and Visual Evoked Cortical Potentials in Multiple Sclerosis Pons of the visual pathways in MS patients. This study shows that in these cases careful visual field examination may be at least as useful as the assessment of VEP. From our 29 patients (58 eyes) a visual field defect was found in 46 eyes, while a VEP latency delay was found in 32 eyes.
