Bugeye II: The Second Insect Vision Motion Detection Chiped, which meant that their function could not be changed. Secondly, very small biasing currents, in the order of several pico-amperes, were required for the temporal contrast detector (TCD) circuits. Thirdly, the chip could not function properly under AC light sources, whose fluctuations was detected by the TCD circuits.
