Vanadium Nitrogenases,inct but related nitrogenase systems. One system is based on Mo and has properties similar to Mo-nitrogenase of many other nitrogen fixing organisms, another is based on V and forms the focus of this chapter, and a third system which contains Fe and only low levels of Mo or V and is discussed only briefly here.
