Ian Mackenzieior in recall; humans typically use mental imagery for spatial reasoning (Farah, 1988); images can be rebuilt in creative ways (Finke, and Slayton, 1988); they preserve the spatial relationships, relative sizes, and relative distances of real physical objects (Kosslyn, 1980); for a more complete list, see Tye (1991).

Bare Subjects,ive-unergative distinction. In Spanish, which lacks the ‘be’ perfect auxiliary as well as an equivalent to the Italian/Catalan-style partitive clitic, bare subject compatibility is in fact taken to be one of the primary unaccusative diagnostics (see, for example, Aranovich 2003, Mendikoetxea 1999)..

Participial Absolutes,that apparently discriminates between unaccusatives and unergatives is that in which the past participle co-occurs and agrees with a lexical subject in the same clause. The illustrations below are from Spanish and Italian:
