,On The Law of Excluded Middle – Ross T. Brady, respect for him as a logician, and a large part of my approach to logic has been influenced by him over the years. I have valued him as a friend and mentor since we first met at the University of New England in 1966. I still feel saddened by his all too early demise at the age of 60.

My teacher Nicholas Griffin was one of Routley’s students and, because of Griffin, our university bookstore stocked some copies of the “Jungle Book” and I bought one.
