These systemsexhibit concurrent, sequential, competitive activities among theircomponents. They are often complex and large in scale, and necessarilyflexible and thus highly capital-intensive. Examples of systems aremanufacturing systems, communication networks, traffic and logisticsystems, and military command and control systems. Modeling andperformance evaluation play a vital role in the design and operationof such high-performance DEDSs and thus have received widespreadattention from researchers over the past two decades. One methodologyresulting from this effort is based on timed Petri nets and relatedgraphical and mathematical tools. .The popularity that Petri nets have been gaining in modeling of DEDSsis due to their powerful representational ability of concurrency andsynchronization; however these properties of DEDSs cannot be expressedeasily in traditional formalisms developed for analysis of `classical‘systems with sequential behaviors. .This book introduces the theories and applications of | | 出版日期 | Book 1998 | | 關鍵詞 | Mathematica; Power; communication; modeling; networks | | 版次 | 1 | | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-1-4615-5537-7 | | isbn_softcover | 978-1-4613-7531-9 | | isbn_ebook | 978-1-4615-5537-7Series ISSN 1388-4328 | | issn_series | 1388-4328 | | copyright | Springer Science+Business Media New York 1998 |
