Transient Flow Field Temperature Profile Measurement Using Rotational Raman Spectroscopyscattering from a transient gas flow is presented. The system has a temporal resolution of less than one millisecond and spatial resolution better than 0.1 millimeters. Examples of temperature determinations of hydrogen and deuterium are given.
