In the last several years, research onplant--microbe interactions, and symbiotic and asymbiotic nitrogenfixation has become truly interdisciplinary in nature, stimulated tosome degree by the use of modern genetic techniques. Thesemethodologies have allowed us to make detailed analyses of plant andbacterial genes involved in symbiotic processes and to follow thegrowth and persistence of the root-nodule bacteria and free-livingnitrogen-fixing bacteria in soils. Through the efforts of a largenumber of researchers we now have a better understanding of theecology of rhizobia, environmental parameters affecting the infectionand nodulation process, the nature of specificity, the biochemistry ofhost plants and microsymbionts, and chemical signalling betweensymbiotic partners. .This volume gives a summary of current research efforts and knowledgein the field of biological nitrogen fixation. Since the research fieldis diverse in nature, this book presents a collection of papers in the | | 出版日期 | Conference proceedings 1994 | | 關(guān)鍵詞 | Ammonium; Assimilat; DNA; Ecology; FAO; bacteria; biochemistry; environment; evolution; hydrolysis; nitrogen; p | | 版次 | 1 | | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-011-1088-4 | | isbn_softcover | 978-94-010-4475-2 | | isbn_ebook | 978-94-011-1088-4 | | copyright | Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 1994 |
