Integrating Geometric and Biomechanical Models of a Liver Tumour for Cryosurgery Simulationed cryosurgery, a mechanical model based on a non-linear tensor-mass algorithm was integrated with the tumour geometry. Integration allows the computation of fast deformations and force feedback in the process of cryoprobe insertion.

Realistic Haptic Interaction in Volume Sculpting for Surgery Simulationrfaces. As a main application, a simulator for petrous bone surgery was developed. With the simulated drill, access paths to the middle ear can be studied. This allows a realistic training without the need for cadaveric material.
