Lectures on Mathematical Aspects of Phase Transitions,In these lectures I shall discuss a number of questions relating to the phenomenon of phase transitions concentrating mainly on the mathematical aspects and emphasizing some unsolved problems.

Resection

The Mathematical Structure of the BCS-Model and Related Models,In systems with infinitely many degrees of freedom one encounters mathematical problems which one is not used to in elementary quantum mechanics. The BCS model is a non-trivial and not too unrealistic example exhibiting features which are typical for many field theoretic problems. It is characterized by a Hamiltonian for a finite volume.
