Environmental resources and restraints to agricultural production in a mediterranean-type environmeAnalysis of the agro-climatology of the semi-arid and arid zones of the Near East has been undertaken by de Brichambaut and Wallén (1963), and Kassam (1981) reviewed the land resources and agricultural potential of the region. To complement these broad studies, this paper attempts a more detailed analysis for a few locations.
