Direct Observation of Martensitic Transformation between Martensites in a Cu-Al-Ni Alloy,ite to another by deformation in such alloy systems, Cu-Al (4~7) and Au-49(at%)Cd (8), although the transformation process itself is not fully investigated. Further, the present authors recently found that the martensitic transformation occurs from one martensite to another under certain conditions

Theses effects are all related to the martensitic transformation and they will be discussed in connection with the initial order state of the austenite.

Martensite Formation as a Deformation Process in Polycrystalline Copper-Zinc Based Alloys,phase, but a complete explanation of the microstructure thus obtained is rather difficult. The aim of the present work is to collect and classify the various modes of stress-induced martensite formation and to study the influence of the presence of the ?-grain boundaries on the martensite plate arrangements.
