Specificity of the ,-tocopherol (Vitamin E) effect on lifespan and fecundity of bdelloid rotifers (.-, . and .-tocopherol) to the rotifer medium. Life table functions were increased the most by the .-tocopherol form. Improvement of these life table functions was not achieved by substitution of tocopherol analogs or other antioxidants in the rotifer medium.
