Robotics in Sinus Surgery,ery. In skull base surgery more than in sinus surgery, the application of robots is hampered by their size and the narrow corridor available, especially through the small diameter nostrils. In endoscopic sinus surgery, most robotics developments have been in robotics arms for holding the endoscope, flexible instruments, and training simulators.
