Differences in Pre- and Post-Treatment Water Qualities for Twenty Limed Lakes fact that most of the limed lakes in this study were only mildly acidic prior to liming and concentrations for many metals were near detection limits. Comparison of pre- and post-treatment water quality conditions in these lakes indicates that liming was successful in improving water quality conditions for fisheries.
