The significance of plant metabolites of insecticide residues,one termed the persistence curve. This last one is typical of penetration into oily or waxy layers where the residue loss is very slow (Matsumura 1960). Factors influencing this as well as depositions, degradation, and persistence particularly by formulation are reviewed in detail by Ebeling (1963).
