The mechanism of ethylene dibromide action on laying hens,e effects of chronic toxicity may be very specific and quite different from the acute toxicity symptoms which are known in many instances. The action of residues of ethylene dibromide (1,2- dibromoethane, EDB) on animals is an example of such a specific mechanism.
