Shear stresses and haemolysis in filtration tests,ch higher shear forces. It was agreed that efforts should also be made to decrease the shear forces employed in filtration devices below the level of 100 Pascals, for fear that above such numbers one might enter into a different problem caused by red cell fragmentation and haemolysis.
