Glueballs: Their Spectra, Production and Decay,What is a glueball? It is a colorless and flavorless composite of two or more gluons whose existence is implied in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) [1–3]. That we are even considering such an object today is a true tribute to serendipity. Let us see why I say that.

Renormalizing the Strong-Coupling Expansion for Quantum Field Theory: Present Status,In this talk we review the progress we have made in determining the renormalized strong coupling expansion in quantum field theory. We restrict ourselves here to λ?. field theory in d-dimensions. Our starting point is the lattice version of the path integral representation for the Green’s functions.

Color van der Waals Forces?,ay is based upon the motivation of using the potential model that is so successful in baryon spectroscopy as well as in charmonium, upsilonium, and even light meson spectroscopy. On the other hand, in a way it is difficult to follow Gabriel Karl, because it is hard to match the charm and wit with which he delivered his talk.

Theoretical Aspects of Proton Decay,s of the vector bosons which mediate proton decay in the Georgi-Glashow SU(5) model, is outlined. Using the current value of α. the QCD coupling, obtained from electroproduction as input, the SU(5) model is found to predict M.=8.5×10. GeV, sin .?.=0.207 and τ.?1?20×10. yr.

Selection Rules for Baryon Number Nonconservation in Gauge Models,of all elementary particle forces. Three separate cases are discussed: (a) Δ(B?L) = 0, Δ(B+L) ≠ 0; (b) Δ(B?L) ≠ 0, Δ(B+L) = 0; and (c) Δ(B?L) ≠ 0 and Δ(B+L) ≠ 0. Observation of . “oscillation” without proton decay with a life-time of ? 10. years would be evidence of “partial unification” with an intermediate mass scale of ~10.–10. GeV.
