A Possible Way to Define an Effective Cosmological Constant in Scalar-Tensor Cosmologiesing the asymptotic de Sitter expansion independently of any initial data (no fine-tuning problem), that is, we introduce a time-dependent (effective) cosmological constant. Finally, we apply the results to some specific models.

Perspectives in the Research of Gravitational Waves: Omnidirectional Resonant Detectorshe features of coalescing binaries. These detectors also appear to be powerful instruments for measuring a stochastic background of gravitational radiation. We describe the features of spherical detectors, their sensitivity to various types of gravitational wave signal and the experimental state of the art.

The Entropy of Black Holes via Noether’s Theoremny gauge-natural field theory. In this covariant framework the entropy is defined in such a way that it automatically satisfies the first principle of thermodynamics. We consider the BTZ black hole solution as a test model. Entropy is explicitly computed both by our method and by the prescription given by Wald in order to compare results.
