Spectroscopy and Dispersive Shiftst we can probe when investigating a system with cQED: the Hamiltonian and the coupling operator. We can probe the system Hamiltonian by performing microwave spectroscopy, thereby determining the system energies. Properties of the coupling operator, on the other hand, can be extracted from the dispersive shifts.
