A linearization method for minimizing certain quasidifferentiable functions, search directions are found by solving a number of quadratic programming subproblems. Then an Armijo-type search is performed simultaneously along all the search directions to produce the next approximation to a solution. On the expressibility of piecewise-linear continuous functions as the difference of two piecewise-lnce classes of convex compact sets produced by convex compact polyhedrons: every piecewise-linear positively homogeneous continuous function may be uniquely characterized by its quasidifferential (as defined by Demyanov and Rubinov) at zero.
