Lattice Vibration and Phonon,c chain. At first, we calculate dynamics of atomic motions with classical mechanics and introduce a plane wave expansion to express collective atomic motions. A phonon is introduced by using field quantization. Optical and acoustic phonons are explained by using a linear diatomic chain.
