Children and the Outdoors: Theoretical Underpinningss uniquely grounded in established educational theory, such as that of Bruner, Dewey, Piaget, Gardner, Greene, Perkins, Renzulli, Sternberg, and Vygotsky. Special attention will be paid to how outdoor education supports a “thinking” learning environment and promotes children’s curiosity and questioning.

Schools serving diverse learners also frequently have teaching faculties that are less experienced, less credentialed, and less educated than teachers in other schools.
