Internal and External Conditions for the Discovery of Nuclear Fission by the Berlin Team,sistant share his fame. I am much more convinced that it was the .of all three scientists, including Lise Meitner, which gave rise to the discovery — at least in the way that it was done, with extremely weak radioactive samples, and as early as it was done.

Nuclear Physics in Canada in the 1930s,oned. The discovery of radioactive fragments from the neutron-induced fission of uranium by Hahn and Strassmann at the end of the 1930s triggered off a new variety of nuclear physics, but that is beyond the time scope of interest here.
