Proposal for Future Organic Solar Cells,-radiative recombination would be suppressed to an extent close to the SQ-limit. The spatial and energetic nature of carrier traps should be clarified to suppress the trap-induced recombination. The research on organic solar cells has advanced gradually, on par with that of inorganic solar cells.

Charge Carrier Dynamics in Polymer Solar Cells,tudied by transient absorption spectroscopy and transient photovoltage and photocurrent measurements is discussed. Finally, challenging issues to be solved in polymer solar cells are discussed for further improvements in photovoltaic performance.
