Other Applications of Optical Solitons,Soliton effects in fibers can be utilized not only in transmitting distortion-less signals over long distances but also in many other applications. The effects also cause interesting physical phenomena that do not find immediate applications. In this chapter, we discuss these applications and optical soliton-related physical phenomena.
