Welfare Maximization of Autarkic Hybrid Energy Systems,h local solar panels, diesel generators and energy storage devices. Our aim is to find an energy distribution that maximizes the global welfare of the whole system. We present an MIQP model for the hybrid energy system optimization problem together with some remarks on computational results.

Computing an Upper Bound for the Longest Edge in an Optimal TSP-Solution,The quantity u can be computed in polynomial time. We have applied our approach to different problems of the TSPLIB (library of sample instances for the TSP). Our bound does not necessarily improve the fastest TSP-algorithms. However, the reduction of the number of edges might be useful for certain instances.

We present an integrated modeling and algorithmic approach to this task as well as computational results for industrial problem instances of DB Fernverkehr AG.
