Are Iterating Slot-Filler Structures Universal?,ves as a phrasal object with a ., e.g., to try .. The slot is filled by another infinitive with a slot, i.e., to persuade Bob ., and so on, except for the last one, which terminates the iteration with an intransitive verb. Similar slot-filler repetitions are iterating object clauses (6.4) and iterating adnominal clauses (6.5).

Language vs. Nonlanguage Cognition,by means of raw data. Nonlanguage cognition maps between content and raw data inside the focus agent. In language cognition, the speaker’s action precedes the hearer’s recognition, while in nonlanguage cognition, recognition - including the output of inferencing - precedes action.
