描述Aquaculture is now recognized as a viable and profitableenterprise worldwide. As aquaculture technology has evolved, the pushtoward higher yields and faster growth has involved the enhancement orreplacement of natural foods with prepared diets. In many aquacultureoperations today, feed accounts for more than one-half the variableoperating cost. Therefore, knowledge of nutrition and practicalfeeding of fish is essential to successful aquaculture. .This book is not written exclusively for scientists but also forstudents, practicing nutritionists, and aquaculturists. It covers theknown nutrient requirements and deficiency effects for differentfishes, and digestion and metabolism of nutrients and energy. Itdiscusses nutrient sources andpreparation of practical and research feeds. It gives directions forconducting fish nutrition and feeding experiments. Feeding practicesfor salmonids, channel catfish, tilapias, shrimps and hybrid stripedbass are presented. .Since the first edition of this book was printed, the NationalResearch Council of the National Academy of Sciences has revised thenutrient requirements for fish. Tom Lovelllen Akteure und das jeweils neue Praxiswissen in die Forschung integriert werden k?nnen. Zudem eignet sich das Instrument, wenn die Forschung eher auf eine allgemeine Problemstellung und weniger auf ihre lokale Verortung fokussiert, weil es mit diesem Vorgehen leichter gelingt, eine Vielfalt von Akteuren in das Projekt zu integrieren.
