A Linearization Method for Multilevel Optimizationgner’s choice over a subset of the design variables, subject to a set of exact and approximate constraints. The system-level optimization consists of minimizing the overall system objective in an entirely linear approximate problem over all of the design variables. This problem can thus be solved using a linear programming algorithm.

Capturing Thermal-Stress Waves Via Special Purpose Hybrid Transfinite Elements and Unified Computatilids lies in the hybrid nature of the unified formulations and the development of special purpose transfinite elements in conjunction with the classical Galerkin techniques and transformation concepts. Numerical test cases validate the applicability and superior capability to capture the thermal stress waves induced due to boundary heating.
