Nordic Administrative Heritages and Contemporary Institutional Design,tively autonomous when it comes to managerial tasks in state authorities. Nordic countries are relatively robust in their articulation the principles of the Neo-Weberian State, but Nordic ministries tend to emphasize orientations of New Public Governance and New Public Management more than Nordic agencies.

Success in Reforming Administration: What Matters?,g substantive and consistent reform policies and autonomy of public administration appears to explain the success of administrative reforms better than what reform trends have been applied. These elements seem to be stronger in Nordic countries than in many other countries.

The Nordic Model Revisited: Active Reformers and High Performing Public Administrations,it comes to administrative reforms. The traditional East-Nordic and West-Nordic model needs to be modified. But overall the country differences are the most significant when understanding variations in the administrative reform pattern.
