Environmentally Induced Cancer: A Model for Estimating Excess Cancer Risks Based on a Two-Stage Modoach. This model was developed from the MoolgavkarKnudson two-stage model for human carcinogenesis. Lifetime exposure duration is not assumed. Using this model, estimates are generated for a hypothetical carcinogen under two assumptions: the carcinogen increases the cell mutation rate, and the carcinogen promotes cell growth.
