Secondary anisotropies in the CMB,We review the relevant physical mechanisms that can alter, or even erase, the primary anisotropies in the CMB present at the decoupling surface in the standard scenario. Special emphasis is put on the non-linear gravitational effect which provides the minimal anisotropy in the CMB generated by the present distribution of galaxies.
