The Natural Destruction of Organohalogen Compounds. Environmental Dehalogenation,ced upon recurring but varied pathways for the oxidation, reduction and substitution (hydrolysis) of simple aliphatic and aromatic organohalogens that are considered a threat to the environment. Insofar as possible, reactions are described at the whole cell level along with a description of the enzyme and active site chemistry.
