Effect of Edge Conditions on Natural Convective Heat Transfer from Narrow Vertical Plates,te and the adiabatic top and bottom surfaces are thin. Attention has also been given to the case where the plate is protruding from the adiabatic surface. Results are presented both for the case where the plate is isothermal and to the case where there is a uniform heat flux over the plate surface.

Experimental Results for Natural Convective Heat Transfer from Vertical and Inclined Narrow Plates,e is facing up and the case where the heated plate is facing down have been considered. The experimental results have been obtained for the case where the plate is transferring heat to the surrounding air so that the experimental results, such as the numerical results discussed in the earlier chapters, are essential for a Prandtl number of 0.7.

Turbulent Natural Convective Heat Transfer from Narrow Plates,number in the transitional and turbulent regions, but that when the plate is inclined the dimensionless width of the inclined flat plate can have an effect on the heat transfer rate when the flow over the plate is in the transitional and turbulent regions.

Both numerical and experimental studies are discussed and correlation equations based on the results of these studies are reviewed.
