Bandstructure and Localized Descriptions of Narrow-Band Systemss on physical significance of the eigenvalues which appear in the DF one-electron-like equations. I will also to some extent discuss the dynamical selfenergy Σ, which describes the “one-electron” excitations reached by adding or removing an electron, although there is very little work done for narrow-band electrons.

Variational Monte-Carlo Method for Strongly Interacting Electronsn Hamiltonians. Its advantages are clear. It allows the essentially exact evaluation of matrix elements of wavefunctions which have strong shortrange correlations explicitly built in to them. This then enables various approximate schemes to be tested and the development of intuition about the properties of these wavefunctions.

The Role of Fermi Surface Anisotropies in Heavy-Fermion Superconductorsading to a second phase transition within the superconducting state. In CeCu.Si., those parts of the Fermi surface which do not participate in superconductivity down to the lowest temperatures carry a small effective mass. The influence of impurities on the Fermi-surface anisotropy is discussed.
